Future Health is a public health organization based in Burundi. We research, design, and run health programs — with local leadership, real data, and long-term results.

We work where research meets practice. Our partners include national health ministries, international NGOs, and private sector organizations. Together we design, deliver, and evaluate health programs built to last beyond our direct involvement.

Milestones & Growth
Organization Founded
Future Health (GHP-SD) is established in Bujumbura under formal ministerial recognition, beginning operations with a core team of public health professionals and epidemiologists.
First Community Health Worker Cohort
120 community health workers certified in our inaugural training program across three provinces — the foundation of what would become Burundi's largest CHW network.
Ubuntu Medical Center Opens
Our flagship clinical facility in Bujumbura opens, delivering surgical services, diagnostics, and specialist consultations to over 800 patients in its first year of operation.
National Health Partnership & Telehealth Launch
A formal partnership with the Ministry of Health embeds Future Health programs into national health policy. Our virtual consultation platform goes live, extending specialist access to rural provinces.
One Million Patients Reached
Cumulative reach across all programs crosses the one-million mark — driven by the expansion of mobile clinics into all 18 provinces and the certification of 2,000 CHWs.
3,000 CHWs Certified & $5M Expansion Grant
The CHW network reaches 3,000 certified workers nationwide. A $5 million multi-year grant from an international health foundation funds the next phase of Ubuntu Medical Center expansion.
